As a highly motivated individual pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics at USC, I possess a strong educational background and practical experience in developing Python-based algorithms to address imbalanced datasets. In addition to my programming skills, I have also co-authored technique documents with my Professor to teach Rapidminer. Furthermore, I designed and facilitated a female data scientist BootCamp at National Taipei University and Technology, demonstrating my passion for promoting diversity in the field.

Master's Thesis: NTUT Master of Science in Information and Finance Management

  • Conducted a comprehensive analysis of the effect of imbalanced data on machine learning performance in the healthcare, insurance, and financial services industries
  • Developed and implemented a Python-based algorithm utilizing concepts from GAN and SMOTE to address imbalanced datasets, named CS-synthesizer which leading to more accurate predictions in a variety of industries
  • Assessed the performance of CS-Synthesizer using a variety of datasets and compared the results to those of GAN and SMOTE. Verified that CS-Synthesizer was the most effective technique in increasing F1 scores by at least 10%

Team Leader of NTUT Volunteers

  • Acted as Team Leader of NTUT volunteers in the encouraging receipts donation event for helping the elderly people (Receipts in Taiwan are a part of the Taiwan Receipt Lottery)
  • Received pre-event training from the Foundation; participated in the group leader meeting held by NTUT, learning how to lead the volunteer team and what words and actions to motivate team members
  • Executed on-site investigation in advance and ensured members’ health before the event because we had to stand under the hot sun for hours
  • Filmed the process and produced a short documentary video for both the Foundation and NTUT
  • Obtained about 1,200 receipts every time, which was 1st place in the encouraging receipts donation event every time and significantly outnumbered the regular 400 receipts that the Foundation mostly obtained.
